Work With Us!

I was a stranger. And you invited me in. (Matthew 25:35)

Listening to the news can quickly be overwhelming as the conflicts and injustices of the world are listed. So many who have fled war zones, persecutions, violence are here in Charlotte. Do you want to respond to their needs in a meaningful way? Do you want to “welcome the stranger” as Jesus commanded? At this pivotal moment in time, Make Welcome Refugee Women’s Center is growing our volunteer team to meet the increasing needs of refugee and immigrant women in Charlotte. We are focused on:

  • Creating a place of community and welcome to restore hope
  • A commitment to best practices and excellence in our work
  • Providing Trama Informed vocational training that builds up, not tears down
  • A faith-based working environment and faithful commitment to showing the love of Jesus
  • A posture of listening and learning with those we serve
  • A commitment to helping without hurting by focusing on asset-based development versus handouts

If you’re one of the many people feeling like you need to do more for our broken world, here’s your chance. In the midst of the chaos, there is still hope — God has a plan and you can be a part of it. We are looking for people just like you who want to use their gifts and talents to make a real and tangible difference for our new American neighbors in Charlotte, NC.
