Want to volunteer?
Our volunteers are the backbone — or in sewing terms, the wonder clips — that hold everything together! 💛
They help teach and assist in a myriad of different classes and are the “secret sauce” that bring so much joy and encouragement to our community.
🧵Sewing is our flagship program and we need seamstresses (assistant teachers) that can read and sew at least a basic pattern with confidence. Much of the volunteer work revolves around helping thread machines and work through written pattern instructions.
🗣️ Vocational English practice — helping refugee women build confidence in their new language through vocational centered English, chats and laughter.
💻 Digital literacy — teaching simple computer and phone skills that open doors to independence and opportunity.
💖 Trauma-healing activities — supporting safe spaces for women to rebuild confidence, resilience, and hope through creative and restorative workshops.
Whether you’re a seamstress, comfortable with computers, or simply a kind heart ready to share time and friendship, there’s a place for you here. Come learn, laugh, and grow alongside amazing women from around the world!

The biggest requirement for our volunteers is the willingness to show the love of Christ by doing their best to reach across cultural and language barriers with love and encouragement to help our students learn.
Classes meet Monday through Friday at various times. Fill out our volunteer application below, then we’ll be in touch with next steps, including an on-site visit and required training.
